R&B icon Kelly Price was involved in a serious accident and will not be able to perform at the Ladies R&B Kickback Part 2 concert scheduled for Saturday night at the Columbus Civic Center.
The news was first shared on social media by fans and attendees at the venue. One post read, “Kelly Price was in a very very bad accident so she’s not going to be able to make it. I love how the host started singing ‘Never Would Have Made It.’”
Price, best known for her powerhouse vocals and timeless R&B hits, was set to headline the event alongside an all-star lineup including Total, Brownstone, 702, Adina Howard, Kut Klose, Changing Faces, Sunshine Anderson, and Michel’le.
The concert, presented by Yung Fly Entertainment, went ahead with the remaining performers. Fans described an emotional atmosphere inside the Civic Center, with the audience showing support for Kelly Price despite her absence.
