She went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident in 2004.

Patients and colleagues alike admired her for her skill, her empathy, and her tireless commitment to advancing women’s health.
Dr. Bowen was a Board-Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, a role that underscored her professional excellence and devotion to the field.
Beyond her career, she cherished time with her family and was deeply engaged in her community. She enjoyed volunteering at her daughter’s school, reading, fitness, photography, and giving back through service. Her warmth and generosity extended far beyond the walls of her practice, touching countless lives personally and professionally.
Dr. Bowen’s passing is an immense loss to her family, her patients, and the broader medical community. She will be remembered not only as an accomplished physician but as a loving mother, friend, and mentor who poured her heart into everything she did.
Her light, though gone too soon, will continue to inspire those who knew her.
